UPCOMING AUDITIONS

General Audition Information
Anyone is welcome to audition for any of our upcoming productions, regardless of your experience. In general, our musical looks for performers who are skilled in singing, dancing, and acting, and our plays focus strongly on individuals ability to act. Please keep in mind that these are basic guidelines and not requirements, our directors strive to coach and train cast members to grow their skill set. If cast, actors will be expected to be present at all call times, as well as asked to work on materials individually on their own time.
Audition Requirements
Play
1. You will be asked to prepare a monologue between 1-3 minutes long. Please ensure your choice best reflects your acting skills and unique talents. We recommend your monologue be performed off book to best portray your abilities, but, this is not mandatory. 2. During your audition you will be asked to read for certain characters at the director's discretion. In total, please expect your audition to last around 15 minutes. 3. In order to sign up for an audition, please submit this Audition Package no later than Thursday September 5th, 2023. This package includes audition dates and times, as well as the actor's code of conduct, and other production specific questions. |
Musical
1. You will be asked to prepare a 60-90 second musical theatre song of your choosing. Please ensure your choice reflects your vocal range, talents, and ability. You may choose to sing acapella or provide a karaoke track to be accompanied by. 2. During your audition you will be asked to read for certain characters at the director's discretion. In total, please expect your audition to last around 15 minutes. 3. In order to sign up for an audition, please submit this Audition Package no later than September 19th, 2024. This package includes audition dates and times, as well as the actor's code of conduct, and other production specific questions. 4. Dance skills will be evaluated at the group call back audition during the 2024/2025 season. |
After Your Audition
- After each round of auditions, please allow 1-2 weeks to hear back from the creative team for decisions. If you have not heard back after this time frame, please send us an email to [email protected]
- A majority of our productions will conduct a 'call back' audition which may take the form of another individual audition, or a group audition. Call backs are held at the discretion of the creative team. Details regarding the call backs will be released after the first round of auditions. Please be aware that call backs do not guarantee you will be cast in the show or will receive a specific role in the production.
TIPS FOR YOUR AUDITION...
- Take some time to research the production in which you are auditioning for. It is recommended to have your chosen pieces reflect this in your audition
- Practice out loud before your audition. This will help you become comfortable with the material and set a good pace and tone for your audition
- Bring your own karaoke track to the audition if this is the method you have chosen
- You will most likely be asked to perform a vocal range check, as well as other exercises during the musical auditions
- Don't stress! We want to see you succeed, and we value all of your unique strengths as a performer
